Diamond's Edge Restaurant is located in Diamond Cove on Great Diamond Island, one of the Casco Bay islands off the coast of Portland, Maine.

Access to the island is gained by either a private boat or a Casco Bay Lines ferry, which takes approximately 30 minutes.  The views along the route are spectacular and either the ferry personnel or local residents aboard will happily share their knowledge of the area.

Casco Bay Lines is located at the corner of Commercial Street and Franklin Arterial, Exit 7 off I-295.

You want the Diamond Cove stop and the restaurant is just a short
walk on paved road from the dock.

Just what is Diamond Cove??

Diamond Cove, Maine's premier island community, is located at the former Fort McKinley, built between 1891 and 1907 by the Army to defend Portland Harbor during the Spanish-American War.  The fort was retired from service in 1945 and suffered decades of neglect.  Now, the stately brick buildings have been restored with much effort being made to preserve its architectural integrity.   Diamond Cove is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Diamond Cove is a year-round, self-contained community, with it's own general store, marina and art gallery, featuring Maine artisans.
